De-stressing – Office Cleaning Monday:

Monday is for cleaning the right side of your desk and one drawer or shelf.

The Right Side of Your Desk

Clean all papers, supplies, etc. off the right side of your desk.

Wipe the right side of your desk down with a damp cloth until it is clean and shiny.

Put everything back in its rightful place.

Don’t pile those papers on the desk again.  Deal with them today.  Don’t put it off!  It is important that all tasks from the right side of your desk be completed.

Doesn’t that feel better.  Enjoy your desk now (at least the right side).

The Drawer or Shelf

Open one drawer:

  • Take everything out of the drawer
  • Toss all that you don’t need
  • Wipe down the drawer
  • Replace everything and arrange in a manner that will make everything easy to find.  I bought little baskets of different shapes to place my items into.

OR

Choose one shelf:

  • Take everything off the shelf.
  • As you take items off the shelf toss unnecessary items.
  • Wipe the shelf down.
  • Arrange items back on the shelf so you can find them easily.

You’re Done!!!

You have accomplished something that will take some stress off you.  You have every right to feel great.  Go ahead congratulate your self.  Reward your self.

I too have cleaned the right side of my desk and one drawer or shelf. I feel good about it.  Everything has been put away and dealt with.  I know I have accomplished something.  I feel great.
